Preview: Episode 9 - Vincent Price is a Suave M.F.

Episode 9 on its way and we will be talking about the awesomeness that is Vincent Price.

We'll be discussing the 1964 classic, Masque of the Red Death



And the surreal 1971 cult classic the Abdominal Dr. Phibes.

Oooh the second one looks fun!

Interesting how old horror used to rely a lot on suspense rather than shock... or perhaps we're just immune to their attempts to shock because it appears so unrealistic and campy?

Also a lot of the older films seem to focus on the wealthy for some reason. Why is that?

I wonder what a modern horror film styled after these kind of films would be like. The last remake of House on Haunted Hill I suppose it the closest, but I mean a modern remake set in the 1940s-1960s but updating the special effects. Would they still be good films or too slow?

Were they ever good films?

Why is the sky blue?
